The consul
Marc Aicardi de Saint-Paul was appointed head of post in residence in Nice in 2003.
He has a legal background and political scientist (Doctor of State in Law) and literature (Doctor of Philosophy, Master of English).
Researcher, both in France and abroad, he is the author of numerous books, articles on international politics and geopolitics. dedicated in particular to Africa, Asia and to the relations that the great powers maintain with these two continents. He regularly communicates in international conferences on these subjects, in particular at the Overseas Academy of Sciences of which he is a member. Auditor of the IHEDN (Institut des Hautes Etudes de la Défense Nationale), he is also interested in military issues.
Consulate Missions
The consulate is responsible, under the authority of the Consulate General and the Embassy in Paris, for :
Ensure the protection of Burkinabè nationals and their interests.
Facilitate the processing of any file submitted by a Burkinabè national to the Administration.
Promote and strengthen commercial, business and cultural relations between the operators of his constituency and Burkina Faso.
Initiate and follow all cooperation issues between the institutional actors of his constituency and his partners in Burkina Faso as well as the coordination of associative actions
Ensure the establishment of a number of administrative documents : issuance of entry visas to Burkina Faso, life certificates, legalization of official Burkinabe documents.
Ensure the coordination of the elections of delegates to the bodies of the Superior Council of Burkinabe Abroad (CSBE).
Receive delegations of Burkinabè officials, businessmen and students enrolled at the University.
